Your documents are backed by your workspace. To keep large documents responsive, Archivo caches data locally on your device and saves changes incrementally rather than rewriting an entire document on every edit. On the desktop, an optional local mirror makes documents available as files on your computer.

Local caches exist to make the app fast and to let it start quickly; the workspace remains the source of record for your content.
