Refund Policy
Archivo is a digital, usage-based AI workspace. This policy explains when refunds are available and how they are calculated, so there are no surprises. Archivo has no physical products, so there is nothing to ship back — a “return” here simply means a refund request.
Effective date: July 20, 2026
Because Archivo delivers value the moment you use it — and because our AI features consume real compute cost as soon as they run — refunds work differently than they do for physical goods. Instead of an all-or-nothing rule, we use a fair, usage-adjusted approach: when you are eligible for a refund, we refund what you paid minus the value of what you have already used. This is the same principle followed by other usage-based AI services. Nothing in this policy removes any rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
This policy applies to payments you make directly to Archivo (operated by UrsimusAI), including subscription plans, one-time beta passes, and Boost usage credits. It does not cover purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which are handled by those stores under their own refund rules — see section 12. This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Dispute Resolution Policy.
Archivo is software, not a physical product, so there are no items to return. Many Archivo features — especially Simba AI and other agentic tools — draw on a metered usage balance we call Boost. Each time Boost is spent on agentic work, generation, or model calls, the corresponding compute is delivered immediately and the underlying cost is incurred by us and our AI providers. Value that has already been delivered in this way generally cannot be returned, which is why refunds are adjusted for usage.
When you qualify for a refund under this policy, the amount is calculated as:
Refund = amount you paid − the value of the usage and premium features you have already consumed during the current billing period or pass.
If your consumed usage is equal to or greater than the amount you paid, no refund is due, because you have already received at least the value of your payment. Consumed usage includes Boost spent on agentic work and generation, and access to premium features unlocked by your plan or pass.
Example: You pay ₱999 for a monthly plan and request a refund three days later. If the usage and premium features you consumed in those three days are valued at ₱300, your refund would be ₱699. If your consumption already meets or exceeds ₱999, no refund would be due.
To be eligible for a usage-adjusted refund, please contact us within 14 days of the charge. We apply this 14-day window to all customers as a courtesy, in line with common practice for digital and AI services. After 14 days, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or in the case of a billing error (section 10). Cancelling a plan on its own does not create a refund; it stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
You can cancel a subscription at any time from the in-app billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the current paid period. Within the 14-day window, you may request a usage-adjusted refund of the current period as described in section 4. Outside that window, we do not refund unused time, but you retain access until your period ends and will not be charged again once cancelled.
During beta, Go and Pro are offered as one-time 30-day passes rather than recurring subscriptions. Because a pass unlocks the full suite and its included monthly Boost right away, it is treated as usage-based. Within 14 days of purchase, you may request a usage-adjusted refund provided you have not already consumed the majority of the pass's included Boost or otherwise exhausted its value. Once most of the included Boost has been used, the value of the pass has effectively been delivered and it is non-refundable.
Boost is a consumable balance. Boost that you have already spent is non-refundable, because the corresponding compute has been delivered. Unused Boost from a direct purchase may be refundable on a prorated basis within the 14-day window. Complimentary or promotional Boost — such as the Boost granted on signup or as part of a promotion — has no cash value and is never refundable or exchangeable for money.
The Free plan involves no charges, so there is nothing to refund. It remains free to use for as long as we offer it.
Some situations are refunded in full, without any usage deduction, because you did not receive what you paid for:
- Duplicate charges or being billed more than once for the same period.
- Clear billing errors or amounts charged in error.
- Unauthorized charges that you report to us promptly.
- Charges applied after you had already confirmed a cancellation.
- A documented failure of the paid service to function that we are unable to resolve within a reasonable time.
Where a charge falls into one of these categories, we refund the full amount regardless of usage.
Except where required by law, the following are not refundable:
- Usage, Boost, or premium access you have already consumed.
- Complimentary, bonus, or promotional Boost and credits.
- Requests made after the 14-day window (other than billing errors).
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service or acceptable-use rules.
- Choosing not to use the service, or simply changing your mind after the window.
- Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play (see section 12).
If you purchased a plan or credits through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that payment is processed by Apple or Google, and their refund policies apply. We are not able to directly refund store purchases. For Apple purchases, request a refund through Apple using reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, request a refund through your Google Play account. If you are unsure where you were charged, contact us and we will help you identify the right channel.
Email support@archiv-o.com from the email address on your account, or reach us through the in-app billing and help options. To help us process your request quickly, please include:
- The email address on your Archivo account.
- The approximate date and amount of the charge.
- The plan, pass, or Boost purchase involved.
- The reason for your request.
We may review your usage history to calculate a usage-adjusted refund before making a decision.
We aim to review refund requests within about 3 business days. If your request is approved, we issue the refund to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment processor, it may take a further 5–10 business days for the funds to appear. Refunds are made in the original currency and to the original payment method wherever possible.
If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. We cannot process a refund while a chargeback or payment dispute for the same charge is still pending with your bank or card network. For disagreements that we cannot resolve together, please follow our Dispute Resolution Policy.
This policy does not limit any mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines or your country of residence. Consumers in some regions, including the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, have a statutory right to withdraw from certain purchases within 14 days; where you ask us to begin providing digital content immediately, that right may be reduced to the extent the content has already been supplied, as permitted by law and as you agree at the time of purchase.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through Archivo, email, or a website notice. The version of this policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
